The Temperature (and the need) is Rising!
The dog days of summer are here, but so is our annual Summer Slump in donations. As the heat climbs, so does the demand for nutritious food, with a record number of clients turning to us for support.
Thanks to our amazing farm partners, we’re able to distribute hundreds of pounds of fresh produce each week. But to help families turn those veggies into complete meals, we’re in need of complementary items like salad dressings, spice mixes, and other seasonal staples. Every donation makes a meaningful impact, and we’re so grateful for your continued support!

Volunteer Appreciation Picnic 2025!
This past week, we celebrated the incredible people who keep the heart of the Pantry beating - OUR VOLUNTEERS! From stocking shelves to helping our clients shop, their dedication makes everything we do possible.
Our annual picnic had a fun 80’s twist this year (thank you, Kristin!), and we recognized those who’ve gone above and beyond - logging over 200 volunteer hours - with special gift bags packed with a custom pantry mug, comfort beverages, including coffees, teas and cocoas, and gratitude.
A huge thank you to our local Stop & Shop, on Ten Rod Road, for donating food, Rhody Slice, for some delicious pizza and our own Del's North Kingstown for keeping us cool with their famous frozen lemonade!
To every volunteer: Thank you. You make our mission possible, and we are forever grateful.

Did You Know
North Kingstown residents can receive a full week’s worth of groceries and personal care items from our Food Pantry once each month. Appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes and are available Monday through Friday from 10am to 2pm.
Our Pantry is stocked with fresh produce, frozen meats, dairy products, canned goods, snacks, and more - thanks to donations from local grocery stores, the RI Community Food Bank and generous community members.
It’s a simple and welcoming process.
You can register through our website at nkfoodpantry.org and bring a photo ID with proof of NK residency when you come in. We are here to make sure no neighbor goes without the food and nutrition they need.
Food Pantry in the Community
This past weekend, we were honored to join the Wickford Art Association in their 62nd Annual Art Festival. Our team had a blast seeing all the beautiful artwork, enjoying the sunny day, and of course, chatting with our community about the Pantry!
Thank you to each volunteer who helped out and to all the generous donors who helped support our mission.
We are so lucky to have such great community support! Thank you to North Kingstown and our surrounding communities for your continued donation efforts.

Fresh Produce & Community Thanks!
It’s the middle of summer, and we’re feeling extremely grateful for all the local farms, gardens and generous community members who keep our Food Pantry stocked with fresh fruits and veggies. From school gardens to family farms and everything in between, we’re lucky to have so many amazing partners.
Thanks to this support, we’re able to offer fresh produce every day — and even host a Produce Day “Farmers Market” every Thursday! It’s a special day when clients can pick out their favorite fresh, seasonal items in a fun, market-style setup.
Have a garden that’s producing more than you can eat? We welcome donations of homegrown produce to help supplement our offerings. Every little bit helps us share the freshness with more neighbors in need.
Thanks for growing with us and being part of this generous community. And, special thanks to a group of local partners, including Luckyfoot Ranch Farm, Brandon Family Farm, Kiki's Garden, Ocean State Community Wellness Community Garden, Stony Lane Elementary School Outdoor Garden, FarmFreshRI, Tockwotton Farm and the RI Community Food Bank!
