Monthly Update: Making a Difference

April 2022 Newsletter

Happy February Pantry Supporters!

We have good news, the Pantry is opening again to allow people to come inside the building and choose the food they want for their week’s of groceries. It was almost two years ago when we stopped allowing clients to choose items and pre-made bags of groceries. Our clients are excited to resume attaining their choice of brands or menu items. Each Thursday we continue to have our fresh produce day when we get donations of fresh vegetables, meats, fruits, and other items, which we give to people who sign up and drive to the Pantry between 10am-2pm. Some weeks we get items such as sandwiches, meals and salads from local retailers like Taylor Farms. Things are going well and we thank you for your support!

Happy Easter!

Thank you to RI Real Estate Services for the generous donation of $1000 to the North Kingstown Food Pantry! They were selected as the RI Living Giving Tuesday winner and were given the opportunity to donate to the charity of their choice. The North Kingstown Food Pantry is grateful to have been the charity they so kindly donated to!

Bridget Mohan and Morgan Verdi, students at The Prout School, collected canned soup and non-perishable food items to donate to the North Kingstown Food Pantry. They’re The Prout School’s girls basketball captains. Cleverly, they asked for three cans or non-perishable foods in return for free admission to their basketball home team games (“3=free”). These donations are greatly appreciated by the North Kingstown Food Pantry! Thank you The Prout School students, Bridget and Morgan!
