On Feb 2nd, the Groundhog saw his shadow which means six more weeks of winter. Just like winter will not go away, neither will the need for healthy food in North Kingstown. Despite being in the midst of snow and a pandemic, the Pantry is not burrowing; we are starting a new program to give out reheatable meals to our clients. In conjunction with the North Kingstown School’s Food Service program, the Pantry will offer reheatable meals for families who pick up free fresh produce on Thursdays. We are excited to add this nutritious convenient meal to the items we give to our clients! The meal program is initially a two month trial, and if we see a continued need and the program is a success, we can continue past the two month mark. Thank you for all you do to help the Pantry with its mission to feed and help the hungry people of North Kingstown!
