Looking Ahead to a Brand New Year

January 2021 Newsletter

Wishing you good times, good cheer and a memorable new year.

All of us at the North Kingstown Food Pantry want to thank you for your support this past year.

A few weeks ago, 6 year old Wylie decided he wanted to “help-the-world” by selling his old dresser and donating proceeds to the NK Food Pantry. While his efforts to sell the dresser were unsuccessful, the post on Facebook took off by raising donations instead. He gifted his dresser to a little boy and donated over $600 in honor of his mom’s birthday. Thank you, Wylie!

Thanks to Carol Moran

Carol made and sold Cocoa Bombs to her FaceBook friends. Her $100 donation made us smile!

North Kingstown woman donates $10,000 to food pantry from making masks

Phyllis Cayer has been a resident for North Kingstown for 28 years.
When the pandemic hit, and people were in desperate need of a mask, she stepped up to the plate.
“People needed masks there were none available, so I was sewing 24/7,” said Cayer. “As quick as I put them out, that’s as quick as they were going.” First, was her large donation of $5,000. Her efforts grew bigger and more popular over as word spread resulting in about $10,000 donated. Please click the Button to read the complete story from NBC 10.

In these challenging times, we are grateful to the students and families from Fishing Cove Elementary School for their generosity in donating over 1300 food items to the pantry.

Thank you, Deb Semple, over at Teddy Bearskins, for making masks and donating the proceeds to the #NKFoodPantry during the holiday season
