A Message From Our President

We had great support from North Kingstown in November when we gave away 425 thanksgiving baskets. In December we gave over 400 families gift cards for a holiday meal. Thank you for your support! From the overwhelming donations, we needed to store the excess food at Quonset. This week we brought the last of the excess food to the Pantry. We continue to aid the hungry families of North Kingstown and we can’t do it without your help.

Meet Our New Board Member

Jan Hall-Stinson

Kingstown Crossings I & II

Longtime North Kingstown resident Jan Hall-Stinson, has an extensive background in non-profit program management and fund development. For the majority of her work life she has focused on issues that positively impact families in poverty, including affordable housing, education and employment opportunities and wage equity. She is excited to have the opportunity to be a part of the North Kingstown Food Pantry and its Board of Directors. “Food insecurity is a much larger problem in our community, than most people imagine. The North Kingstown Food Pantry has truly stepped up to address the issue with both compassion and innovation. Our town is fortunate to have this wonderful resource”.

Matthew, Tessa, Samuel, Mason and Owen came to the food pantry to donate the 74 lbs of food they collected during a recent food drive. They also received a special tour and were told how each can would be used to help feed those in need.

Thank you to Yolanda, Community Outreach Rep for UnitedHealthcare, for donating two cases of backpacks to share with our guests.

We place donation canisters all round town and really appreciate the support we receive. Here’s a special “shout-out” to ALLIE’S DOUNTS. Thank you and all your generous customers for “filling the can”!
